Ernest was born in Crisp, Texas. He got his first guitar at the age of six. Tubb brought to country music a style that would change it forever. A driving rhythm with drums,steel and electric guitars, ending the reliance on acoustic instruments. He was named to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1965. Taken at Frontier Palace by David Cranston. This was the next to last night on the tour and they had had a big sound problem the night before. Our club had a very pro sound system that was designed to meet Nashville standards so we could eliminate the added cost of a sound company. They insisted on using them again. Running a 36 channel snake over the building. Many problems that night and even more the next night in Alvin, Texas.
