Any acts wishing to perform at Gilley’s Roadhouse may request it to be an audition. We have everything you need to play and be heard. Just bring your instruments and your friends and have some fun!!! House drums should be available, but you should inquire to be sure. Some auditioning acts would be auditioning for the front bar (Henry’s Hideout) or the outside deck for special events. Keith Gilley, son of country and western star Mickey Gilley, and his wife Joyce Lee have leased the legendary Henry's Hideout Dancehall and Saloon in Fetzer, Texas near the Texas Renaissance Festival. The Gilley's plan to keep the original Henry's but will convert the dancehall to a tribute to the old Gilley's club in Pasadena, Texas and will include memorabilia of the former Gilley's Nightclub known worldwide by the movie Urban Cowboy. Join us!!!

Greetings Open Mic Players...
We had excellent initial response to the open mic at Gilley's beginning on MAY 31st.
Now that the date is confirmed I need an RSVP Confirmation that you plan to attend on May 31st so I can put you on the roster.
Within the 3-7 PM (or later) Music time frame, we can support we can easily support 8-10 acts. More if we go beyond 7 PM. CAUTION: Do not assume you are on the roster just because you sent a letter of interest. Reply to this ASAP to confirm your attendance. If you cannot make it on the 31st, It is OK to sign up for Sunday, June 7th. We already have 1 act signed up for the 7th. When you RSVP, I will reply with confirmation you are on the roster.
1) As usual, we will be doing 20 minute sets, which translates to 4 or 5 songs of traditional length. Less if you do 7 or 8 minute songs... On days where we may only have 4 or 5 acts, longer sets will be acceptable or we may just begin the rotation over again. We will let you know. I will be paying attention as some of you may be invited as an opening act in the near future. Opening acts will get a longer set.
2) All Genres of music are welcome.
3) SOLO acts to Full Bands are welcome. Bring as many friends as you wish. Gilley's is a large dancehall with a food and drink (Beer & Wine) menu (BYOB).
4) SIGN-IN: begins at 2PM. This means if you want to play early because you cannot stay late get there early to sign in. Sign in is first come first serve. If you get there early you may sign in for any position in the playing order you wish. If you get there late you take what times are available. We will accomodate your needs as best we can...
5) MUSIC Begins at 3PM.
6) Ask an artist before you just walk up on stage and start playing/singing with them. Many are fine with this, but some are uncomfortable with this.
