Elect Gene Watson to the Country Music Hall of Fame

Election to the Country Music Hall of Fame is the highest honor in country music. The award recognizes persons who have made outstanding contributions to country music over the lengths of their careers.

The Country Music Hall of Fame honors performers, musicians, songwriters, promoters, music publishing, broadcasters & others in the music industry, reflecting country music’s stature as both art and enterprise.

The first Country Music Hall of Fame members - Jimmie Rodgers, Fred Rose & Hank Williams - were elected in 1961. Hall of Fame plaques were displayed at the Tennessee State Museum in Nashville, Tennessee until 1967, when the original Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum building opened on Music Row in Nashville.

The plaques are now housed in the new Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum facility, which opened in May 2001 in Nashville.

Gene Watson is not a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, nor has he ever been nominated to receive such a prestigious honor.

If you feel that Gene Watson should be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, then please join the 'Elect Gene Watson to the Country Music Hall of Fame' group & help achieve our goal.

Down right shame Gene Watson not in the Country Music Hall of Fame and inducting Kenny Rogers. Gene has done more for traditional country music than Kenny ever has. I like Kenny but love Gene. I am not opposed to Kenny , just think Gene is the better performer
