Everyone is looking for KOKE Buckles,Tee Shirts and Bumper Stickers.
I have sold the buckle that I treasured so many years. The Texas Monthly article set the value at a price close to $400. I wasn't concerned about price. I just wanted someone that knew the history that went with it.

I had been looking for this buckle for a couple of years now. I may have been born after the close of the Armadillo World Headquarters, but I sure as hell was raised as if it was still going strong. I was born in 1981 but my dad still fully embraced the outlaw or progressive country and I remember hearing Willie Waylon & the boys among many others playing constantly on the turn table at our home in Austin. I remember my dad wearing the KOKE and KVET tshirts as well. He still loves to tell me about how much fun the "dillo" was and about the "super roper" from the KOKE FM logo. I hear the stories many times but never get tired of hearing about it, mostly because I love the same music and the style of that period in history. So I knew how rare it was to finally come across this buckle and with my pops birthday coming up soon i could'nt think of a better present than this especially since he just told me a week before finding this buckle how the radio station would give them out and how hard it would be to find one. I thank Jesse so much for being so generous and I can promise that it will be a much appreciated gift that not only my dad will treasure but I as well know the history and importance of that special place and time in Austin that changed country music forever. And i intend to continue this music and knowledge to my kids as well.
