Did You Play With Kenneth "Dusty" Nall/Bruce,Miss.

This is a post from  Facebook, This young lady is trying to find musicians that played with here father.
Hello Pedal Steel players. I am new to this group. I do not play the pedal steel but have had the wonderful sounds of the steel guitar in my life as my father played all his life since he was a little boy. I have a deep appreciation for pedal steel players and the beautiful way they can make the instrument speak to people. My father passed away 2 years ago and I made it my mission in life to "keep his music and legacy alive." I hope to continue to meet people whom my Dad may have met, played with, or known and who may have touched his life. I wonder if by chance anyone in this group may have known him. His name is Kenneth "Dusty" Nall. He was originally from Bruce, Mississippi and moved to Joliet, Illinois. I would love to hear from anyone who may have known him and could share your story with me. Thank you for taking the time to read this and "Keep on pick'n and grin'n!" Karen Nall

Pedal steel player looking for country band. Prefer working band that wants to expand with a steel and does predominately current material. Will consider start-ups with the right players.

Steel Guitar: Underground or Under The Ground

I have worked with some of the best steel players anywhere. What a blessing. Jesse Smith

via The 9513 by Miss Leslie

A recent debate with a friend has me wondering: Has the steel guitar gone underground, or is the steel guitar dead and gone from country music altogether, buried "under the ground?"
Since Webb Pierce came out with "Slowly" in 1954, the pedal steel guitar has been the signature instrument of country music. Virtually non-existent in all other musical genres, its prominence in country music until the last decade (and arguably, the last two decades) has made it an audible watermark of country music. Lloyd Green, aka "Mr. Nashville" (and the steel guitar player for hundreds of country recordings), has been quoted as saying that "the steel guitar is the other voice in country music."
But where is that "other voice" today? I don't hear it in mainstream country music. Recently, I forced myself to sit down and listen to the top 10 singles on the Billboard chart; from Taylor Swift's "You Belong With Me" to Blake Shelton's "I'll Just Hold On," what struck me was that while a hint of steel is audible on most of the recordings, none of them featured the melodic intros, solos and fills that have long been a staple of the genre.
Subtle steel tones are there (as is the banjo) seemingly to "countrify" the songs.
